Been searching for MAP sensor adjusters but have had little luck finding them.

Using key words of adjustable MAP sensor, MAP sensor adjuster and so on.

Dino`s stuff keeps popping up and a few mentions of a Turbo City unit, which not available anymore.

Who else makes an adjustable MAP sensor controller besides Apexi ?

Leigh Performance Machine has a sweet little unit, but I emailed him about 6 or 8 weeks ago and he was out of stock. He seemed vague about when he might have more. I'm about the try him again.

I was going to suggest Leigh. I also remembered that they used them for the HHO nonse.

Chris, turning up the fuel pressure seemed to help a bit. Letting the ECM "learn" the new pressure but preliminary results are encouraging.

I wonder if the PCM would also dial back the accel enrichment( assuming that is what is causing the issue) once it relearns.

OBD2 will for sure. Not positive if OBD1 is smart enough to do that

Upping from 40 to 42 lbs seemed to work without the ECM dialing back. Only way is to watch and see what happens as the ECM learns the upped (again) FP. It seems that the more fuel the engine is getting the better it is liking it.

I have ruled out vacuum leaks as a likely cause. Another option might be to increase to 26 pound injectors and dialing back the FP to a midway point between 24`s and 26`s...............

For those reading.
My issue is a light/moderate throttle lean spot that lasts for 3-4 seconds. Upping the FP to 42 lbs. helped with a dead spot when letting out the clutch. Now trying to fatten up the fuel delivery to make a more linear fuel delivery at low throttle openings. No pinging is experienced but I think the engine could be a little more responsive.

For the MAP sensor adjuster.
In the lower gears the engine runs well and shows a good A/F mixture at heavy throttle openings. In higher gears I hear a bit of pinging as the engine pulls itself up. An example would be entering the freeway and staying in 4th instead of downshifting to 3rd.

Why not just make your own? It's quite simple to do and the wiring schematic in my article will help you. You could omit the SPDT toggle switch if you don't want the ability to switch back to stock MAP voltage and that would simplify it further.

Split second also has a unit.

Jeff Leigh has responded to me email.

He said he would be cranking out some (MAP Adjusters) this week and he'd get back to me again when they are ready. I'll post again when he has them. I'll be ordering the moment he does.

Thanks Dino but for 25 bucks it is worth my time and trouble to simply purchase one.

Back in 2003 when I built my homebrew version, the only MAP adjuster available was the Turbo City version and it costed $120 so it's nice to have more choice now. The newer ones do look much smaller and more sophisticated than Turbo City's.

Jeff Leigh has got one MAP Adjuster done for me, and will have 3 more done by Wednesday of next week. I think he ran out of supplies. Mine is in the mail.

That's excellent news. Jeff has a lot of good stuff and his $25 MAP adjuster is an absolute bargain.
