Need ideas on mounting the power steering pump

Post by cuban11182 »

So I have a 4.7 stroker running a Clifford 4.0 intake and an older (92 or so) power steering pump. I made a spacer and bracket, but I'm running into issues with the belt jumping off at high rpms as the holes line up with the old 4.2 PS pump, but not this one. I'm going to pull it all apart time and will try to fabricate something, but was wondering if someone has already crossed this bridge before..

I mounted my 92 pump on my 96 intake with the 96 bracket. I mounted my reservoir to the radiator

I ended up taking it all apart and found some holes in the aluminum bracket that were questionable at best. Took out the old tap and die set, and cut some new ones. I'm' waiting on new plugs and wires to get here so I can get it running again, but I also had a spare 97 and up u-shaped 4.0 intake so I ordered the newer style bracket and an adapter to mount my sniper EFI to the 4.0 intake. One way or another she will work right, lol.
