Hi guys,
I am puzzled as I am sourcing material for re-gear.
I am aiming to 4.1 ratio but.... Rock auto says:
4.11 ratio for Dana 35 (rear end)
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.ph ... 73&jsn=727
4.10 ratio for Dana 30 (front end)
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.ph ... 73&jsn=729
Tech support is light years away from what Russ and other fellow builder offer here so I dared to ask here.
Have I selected matching pair and Rock Auto has a typo error or is there really 4.11 an 4.10 ratio?
With kind regards, M

Re: Re-Gear 4.11 and 4.1 ratios @ RockAuto
Look at the specs for each where it shows the tooth quantity for both the pinion and ring gears. They are different numbers for each gear set, so they are going to be very slightly different ratios. This is generally considered close enough, since you won't be running in 4wd on hard surfaces (even though most of us here in Alaska do it for much of the winter).
