Because the MAP modifies the incoming voltage by a fixed % and sends it to the computer. The signal going to the computer is also so minuscule that trying to adjust that could either blow up the computer or be near impossible to modify to a useful value

You mentioned wide band O2 sensor what post or sites may I find information on this subject? I searched the forum but no such luck. I have a 89 Renix which is running a little warm. Open cooling system, flow cooler pump, restrictor, high flow thermostat, 3/16 holes in said thermostat (195), three row radiator, yada, yada, yada.
