We have an '02 Ram 1500 with the 4.7 "JTEC" 16 tooth tone wheel. The motor blew, and we replaced it with a 4.7 motor from a Durango. It will not start and we've found the ignition timing is off and we have an engine code thrown for cam sensor inconsistent signal. We have found this new engine has the 32 tooth tone wheel and is considered "NGC". We are hoping you may be able to to work with the new timing gears to avoid having to pull and replace the engine yet again. Please advise if you can or even if you can't help, or with any recommendations. We only joined this forum to contact you, so please e-mail me back at [email protected] or [email protected] or you could call/text at (301)481-6591 or (301)481-0461. Thank you!
