Daylight Savings Time Change "Spring" 2009

Post by Muad'Dib »

This board does not automatically update your DST time settings for you like other boards do.

Its not a big deal if you change it or not, but if you want the actual time a post has been made and not an hour ahead or hour behind, then you want to change this setting.
I could have changed it globally for everyone... but not only do i want to help you use the board better, others outside the U.S. dont observe DST.

In order to change Your DST setting, go into the "User Control Panel" and select the "Board Preferences" tab.

If your unfamiliar with the User Control Panel, the links above should help you.

Please refer to the image below:

The arrow is pointing to the radio button to the right of "Summer Time/DST is in effect:" that is used to make the change.

Now that DST is in effect, you would select "Yes" and press submit. Thats It!

Hope that helps!

Bump this thread as a reminder for everyone.

Also, im working with a mod write to create a mod so that DST will automatically update for everyone depeinding on their selected Timezone area.

For example mine would be "America/Los_Angeles".

It would use PHP naming (except for "others") that can be found at the link below:

http://us2.php.net/timezones

Its pretty much ready, but i dont want to install it here until its in Release Candidate stage so i can update it easily.
