There is a new time zone setting on this forum. Instead of choosing (for example): "UTC -8 Pacific Standard Time", the selection is "America/Los_Angeles".

Of course if your in another area, you will need to choose a different city. On the left hand side of the link above you can see all the other citys available for certain regions.

This is a city-based time zone system and thus allows for automatic Daylight Savings Time (DST) to be managed for each user separately. It also automatically detects DST periods and adjusts corresponding dates' outputs accordingly.

This also prevents you from having to turn off / on the daylight savings time setting whenever it needs to be changed... it is done automatically.

All of you who have already selected the proper timezone should have been converted to the closest city automatically. To verify this, please go the the "User Control Panel-->Board Preferences-->Edit Global Settings-->My Timezone".
