4.7 swap

Post by maricopacody »

I usually stuff a ls in everything but decided to keep the 6 in my crawler. I have a built 4.7. I have a 92 Cherokee is that tunable? what injectors should I use? and what's a good header and pipe kit I can use for it?

My '92 XJ ran great with the stock PCM. Just swap in bigger injectors (mine had blue Ford injectors rated to 24lb/hr @ 39psi).
You could use a cheapish eBay header. Just make sure the exhaust system downstream is at least 2.5" in diameter. Also use a throttle body with a bore of at least 62mm.

would it make a difference if I put a wire harness and pcm in out of a 98 and can I ditch the stock instrument cluster and hook the wires up to auto meter guages?
