Depends on the model year of your Mustang. I know the EV1 injectors in the Windsor pushrod 5.0 Cobra were rated to 24lb/hr @ 39psi, and the stock EV6 injectors in the 4.6 3V Modular like mine are rated exactly the same, but I'm not sure about the '96-'04 4.6 2V or 4V Modular.

I'll put this out there since I have been dealing with a similar issue.

My stroker that I purchased already built using a Clegg kit was using the 6 hole blue ford injectors. The builder, of course, said it ran great in his 93 YJ with that setup and the videos i saw/heard agreed with that. However I dropped it in my jeep ('97) and have been dealing with rough idle, rough running in open loop, stumbling off idle, hesitation, etc. I have an external fuel pump (walbro) and an adjustable pressure regulator. I ran it all over from 35-50 psi with little to no change. So now I just so happen to have a set of bosch 703, 4 hole injectors so i swapped those in, put the regulator at 49 psi and the results were immediately better. Idle cleaned right up and no hesitation off idle. Both injectors are similar flow rates, but for whatever reason it likes the 703's better. Any thoughts on that? maybe i should make a new thread.

I couldn't reference that specific part no. but I did find that Ford Performance rates its injectors at 39.15psi (2.7 Bar or 270kPa).

So I ordered a set of ford racing 24#ers. Will I need to tune the engine again swapping from the old blue top 1990's 24# ford racing injectors to these new purple ones? It looks like the old blue tops were 24 at 43.5 and the new purple ones are 24 # at 39psi. ?????

I've used mopar combustion chamber cleaner many times to clean up a rough idle. Smokes like a mofo. But does a decent job for snake oil.

The old blue tops were also rated at 39psi. I had those exact same ones on my stroker.
