WE picking up a stroked 4.0 afew weeks ago from a friend that wrecked his jeep.
I pulled the pan and checked all the bearings to make sure they were not wiped out (he had rolled his jeep and ended up on it lid. hes ok).
I pulled the head to gasket match the ports.
He had a OB1 system in his jeep. We have an OB2. So I will be switching over to the OB2 system that we have.
But it has the harmonica balancer for the 258 crank and I do not see any timing marks on it.
So how do I make sure I install the distributer in the correct postion.
Basic ignition timing

Re: Basic ignition timing
The engine should have the 4.0L harmonic balancer on it.
