Pressure regulator

Post by Xtultegra »

I did a search and didn't find anything here so I apologise if I'm asking an already answered question.

Why can't you use the external, inline pressure regulator/fuel filter from a WJ when using a returnless fuel rail? It has a return line on it and is set at 49 psi.

the fuel pressure is set in the tank by the regulator next to the pump. The Hesco FPR is designed for the older system and physically does not fit on the newer lines. You maybe able to cobble an older set of lines in your jeep, but you would be better off getting the correct injectors and the PCM mapped.
