which block?
So I have an 05 Jeep Wrangler, I am seriously considering putting a stroker in it, I want to buy a motor to do the stroker on, it seems the 99-04 are pretty easy to come by, is there any differences between the 04 and 05? If so could someone fill me in, please? Thanks in advance!!!

As long as the '99+ block is from another TJ, you'll be good to go.

Ok, cool, what about all the bolt ons, I assume the newer intake is the better choice? I am not a fan of headers, I think the stock exhaust manifold is more durable and less prone to leaks, thoughts?

The stock '05 intake and exhaust manifolds will do fine. Just get a larger bore TB and have the intake manifold opening bored to match.

Awesome, that is what I was hoping to hear. Do you think there is any substantial loss in power by using the stock exhaust manifold?

I'm sure there is top end. It's not going to hurt you a lot below 3k rpm though. What's your intended use? I think some of the nicer aftermarket manifolds are better than the factory pieces in both performance and crack resistance. There is a lot a pushback from some of the old heads that post a lot on the internet that say OEM with flex joints is the only way to go. They have a high post count and take a lot so people take it as gospel. Take the internet for what it's worth.

I don't think an aftermarket header will make much difference when the choke point is a stock, unported 0331 head. However if you port the head, the extra exhaust port flow created can definitely be exploited with an aftermarket header. That said, you can also port match the intake manifold runners to provide further airflow gains on the intake side.
