New build for 97TJ
I’m about to start the process to stoke a donor engine I have using a cleft kit but the question I have is while I’m in there I’m thinking of swapping out the tranny to anAW4 and rebuilding the T-case myself. I read that the AW4 doesn’t sit well with the heat a striker puts out? Does anyone have any recommendations or guidance?

The AW4 is a very good transmission.
If you install a high-quality external transmission oil cooler on the return side, you'll be good to go.

Awesome thanks for the info.. it should bolt up directly to my IL6 so I think it’s the right option. I may have to get a different TCM
