New Stroker Build 4.6 or 4.7 *ADVICE*

Post by ragosto85 »

Hello,

New here, but got my first stroker advise here as well :D
Currently have a min stroker bored .30, Mopar's Springs, Retainers & Locks, comp cam 68-232-4, HS 1.6 Roller rockers, 99+Intake, Pacesetter headers, bored 62mm TB, and 4.56 gears with an AX15.. sure I'm forgetting but you get the picture, not really what I had imagine in power, #'s look good on Dino's site but IDK maybe it's just me don't feel the power I was expecting. Now I want a stroker beast 4.7L

Question What all can I salvage from this stroker and what do I need for the new 4.7 stroker besides the cranck, rods and pistons and push rods?
how much do I need to deck the block? I guess if someone can do the match for me would be great (highest math I got was pre-algebra, 15yrs ago... )

Your off to a good start in being inducted into the 4.7 club.

If you shoot me a call or email I'd be happy to provide you some information on a rotating assembly with custom spec pistons that can go in without necessarily having to deck the block. If you could provide me with the combustin chamber cc's that would further help nail down our static compression numbers

Hi Russ, thanks for the reply. Not sure on the CCs since
Nothing was done to the head besides a basic valve job.
But I'm close enough to drive to your shop and pick up a kit that doesn't require much machine work. Or if the price is right drop of my engine for you to work your magic. I know i will need a whole new kit, crank, rods, pistons, rings and bearings and re-boring to .50 or .60 over (or should i keep it at .30?)

But i would like to keep the comp cam, double roller timing chain, And Mopars springs retainers and locks...if i can

What woulf be the best kit and run cheap 87 pump gas?
