Re: Help with cam
Since you already have the 24s, go ahead and use them. The seat pressures will be higher than the 15s, but you'll never have to worry about valve float even if you live at redline.

Re: Help with cam
Digging this thread up as it pertains closely to my current build.
Working on a '98 4.0L block and head, using the following parts:
Comp Cam #68-232-4
Mopar Performance Valve Springs P5249464
Mopar Performance Valve Keepers P4529218
Mopar Performance Valve Spring Retainers P4452032
My machinist says the valve spring does not sit on the head properly, due to the wider diameter of the spring vs OEM diameter. It wiggles a lot more on the spring seat, and he's worried it will move around or not support the valve properly. Any suggestions? He will go ahead and assemble the head if I tell him to, but I wanted to verify I'm not missing something.

Re: Help with cam
I've never found it to be a problem fitting the stock valve spring pocket.
Have him verify it's the correct spring and not miss packaged
