Hi all,
So here I am, about to buy roller rockers. However, in doing research I eventually find many different options to go with from different companies. What is, in your opinions, the best brand of roller rockers? I know a big company is Harland Sharp, but they are very pricey too. If it comes to choosing between quality or price, it’s obviously going to be quality, but I’m just trying to see if there are any better options. So watcha got guys!

Thank you!!!

P. S. I know this may be :deadhorse: But I’ve tried to search through the forum to find no definitive answer. So any information helps!!

I have a brand new set of Harland Sharp 1.7 rollers rockers. Still in the factory packaging. Brand new.

Yes, 1.7 ratio not 1.6.

Make me a fair offer and they are yours !!

More lift/duration.

Do the 1.7s fit under the stock rocker cover?

Depends on the cam lift and cover type.

Just for information purposes.

.275 cam lift x 1.5 = .4125 valve lift
.275 x 1.6 = .4400
.275 x 1.7 = .4675

From 1.5 to 1.7 would = ~4.5-5* of duration.

Changing to the 1.7`s would be an easy way to bump a mild stock cam to something with a more lift.

You'll need to check with the manufacturer but it's most likely that you'll need a valve cover spacer.

There has been recent changes made to the Harland Sharp rocker arm body that will allow both 1.6:1 and 1.7:1 Non-adjustable’s to clear the valve cover without having to use a spacer. Some of the earlier rockers required some “tweaking” to the baffle.

All adjustable rockers will require a taller valve cover or spacer because of the adjuster nuts.

I’d try to shoot a PM to John “jsawduste” and try to work a deal with him. In doing so and have any questions regarding potential clearancing issues, feel free to contact me

Russ, just curious, care to comment on any potential down sides to a 1.7 rocker besides potential clearance issues?

X2

Any issues using them with forced induction?

OP there seems to be another company, scorpion, that sells 1.6 rockers for $40 less for a set. Never heard of them tho.

Hi Chris,
The rocker arm ratio won’t have affect on the rocker arm clearance. Rocker arm ratio is increased by moving the pushrod cup closer to the fulcrum pivot point.

For an example moving the pushrod cup in the rocker arm body .070 inboard towards the fulcrum will change the rocker arm ratio from 1.6:1 to 1.7:1
Not to overly simplify it, Increasing the ratio just makes the camshaft “Bigger”
