800 and change labor
parts 200 and change .
came as recommendation , seem high at all?
$800 is a reasonable price for the labor imo. I paid $420 for the block work and $225 for the head work and I didn't get the rods recon'd(bought them already shot-peened) w/ bolts, didn't get a crank ground, and didn't get a balance job.
I spent $780 for block machine work, con rod recon,3 angle valve job, freeze plugs, durabond cam bearings, and new stock valve springs. No crank work I bought the crank already turned. Here in michigan we have machine shops everywhere.
