I'm pretty sure you are the one who needs a reading lesson. The head is a problem irregardless if it overheats or not.

It appears you may.
Sorry SilverXJ, but it is simply hard to take you seriously in this discussion after such a foolish comment. (using the old cam could increase CR).

Yes, Therefore, I will not spend time or money on it, and only use it to be able to use the car while I'm porting other head.

You think the cam doesn't change the DCR? You do need a lesson in basic IC mechanics.

I always thought that the TUPY head was the good one. The way that I remember it was that in ~1999 Jeep introduced the 0331 Cast head with much improved flow we can all agree. However the early 0331 heads (~99-00)are and always will be prone to crack. The TUPY designation was the new 0331 casting that fixed the problems with the original 0331 head.

Yes, 0331 and 0331 TUPY seem to be the best in terms of flows in the original condition. Im lucky to have both.
Now I might be thinking of putting 1.7 roller rockers on that original cam shaft. Is there someone with experience on it ?

Accordingly, it should give 5% more flow (0.4 to 0.5 lift) and will put the original 0331 "alongside" ported 7120. So it looks to be a well spent $500 in combination with the 0331 ?

will you please just stay of this trhead.
NO, you don't get to tell me I'm wrong then tell me to stay out of a thread. Keep pushing it.
