The fuel gauge in my 99 Cherokee is dead. I have so far tried;
* Swapping in another fuel pump module with a known good float sending unit
* Replacing the gauge cluster with a known good cluster, fuel level still reads below E
I do not have any signal voltage going to the float level resistor. The hot wire to my fuel pump is working fine, and the Jeep still runs fine. In all of my wiring diagrams, I cannot find where the signal voltage is routed to the float from, if it is a 12 V circuit, and if the circuit has a fuse or fusible link anywhere. I have back tracked the wire to under the drivers side kick panel, where it goes into the main wiring harness to ???
