Who makes the Replacment 331 head?
Alabama cylinder head has been selling a replacement 331 cylinder head for a while, but recently i have noticed other people selling the same new head. Alabama Cylinder head says that they can ship from one of their 5 warehouses around the country. I don't think they have 5 warehouses, i think this is a part available on the aftermarket, and they have just done a better job marketing it.
Maybe if we could find out who is actulaly making/ diistributing it, we could get better pricing. Maybe it is sold to engine rebuilders.

Patriot Performance makes the heads for Alabama Cyl. head. I may be wrong but I think they make the Alum. heads for Hesco as well...

I don't think they make the Hesco head. I think they tried to copy it, but who knows.

I believe they may have been the original makers of the Al Hesco head. Hesco may have bought the rights to the head.

The "Liberty" 0331 head's MSRP is ~325. The head surface finish isn't great and most of them could use the valve job touched up.

Not a bad price really, is this a bare head, or does it include vvalves and springs?Alex22 wrote:The "Liberty" 0331 head's MSRP is ~325. The head surface finish isn't great and most of them could use the valve job touched up.
